This Privacy Policy explains how Wise Tab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Wise Tab mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
By using Wise Tab, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
- Who we are
Wise Tab is a location-based discovery app that helps you find nearby places, explore maps, listen to audio narrations, save favorites, and share discoveries.

- Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you create an account or use account features, we may collect:
• Name (first name and last name) — to create and personalize your account • Email address — for registration, login, password recovery, and account communication • Password — to authenticate your account (stored in secured form on our servers) • Country — to localize content and account settings • Preferences and user content — such as favorites, discovery history, filters, language, and narrator settings — to provide and remember your experience in the app
2.2 Location information
With your permission, we collect approximate (coarse) and/or precise location while you use the app, for example when discovering places, showing your position on the map, or requesting directions.
We use location to: • Discover places near you • Show your position on the map • Provide walking and driving directions • Improve discovery results for your current area
Location may be sent to our servers together with a device identifier and, if you are signed in, linked to your user account. Discovery sessions may store the location used for that session.
You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. Some features (nearby discovery, map positioning, and directions) will not work fully without location access.
2.3 Device and technical information
We may collect: • A device identifier for the app install • Platform (iOS or Android) • App version • Network connectivity status • Basic diagnostics related to API requests for reliability and debugging
Device identifiers may be linked to your account when you register or sign in so discovery history and sessions can sync.
2.4 Usage and content data
Depending on how you use the app, we may process: • Discovery sessions and place results you request • Places you open, favorite, or view in history • Search and filter settings • Chat or AI-assisted place content requests you initiate • Text you request to be converted into audio narration (sent to speech services to generate audio) • Share actions you choose to perform (content you share leaves the app via the operating system share sheet and the apps you select)
2.5 Photos and media library (optional)
Wise Tab may request photo library access only when needed for sharing or saving content you choose to share. We do not use your photo library for advertising or tracking.
2.6 Advertising tracking
We do not use your name, email, location, or other personal data for “tracking” as defined by Apple (linking data from our app about a user or device with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or sharing such data with a data broker for those purposes).
Wise Tab does not include third-party advertising SDKs for cross-app advertising tracking.
- How we use your information
We use the information described above to: • Provide the Service, including account creation, login, discovery, maps, directions, favorites, history, narration, localization, and sharing • Operate and improve the Service, including reliability, performance, bug fixing, and feature development • Secure the Service, authenticate users, prevent abuse, and protect accounts • Communicate with you about support requests and service-related notices (for example, password reset) • Comply with applicable law
We do not sell your personal information.
- Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, we process personal data under one or more of these bases: • Contract — to provide the Service you request • Consent — for permissions such as location and photo library (which you can withdraw in device settings) • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service in ways that do not override your rights • Legal obligation — when the law requires us to process or retain certain data
- How we share information
We share information only as needed to run Wise Tab.
5.1 Service providers
We use trusted infrastructure and API providers to operate the Service, which may include: • Hosting and backend infrastructure — to store accounts and sessions and process API requests • Maps and places providers (for example, Google Maps / Places-related services) — to show maps, geocode, resolve places, and provide directions • Speech and AI providers (for example, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and/or Gemini-based speech) — to generate audio narrations from text you request to hear • Device operating system share destinations — when you share a place, the destination app’s privacy policy applies
These providers process data to deliver the feature you requested. They are not authorized to use your data for their own advertising tracking on our behalf.
5.2 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Wise Tab, our users, or the public.
5.3 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice practices.
5.4 What we do not do
• We do not sell personal data • We do not share personal data with data brokers for advertising • We do not use personal data for cross-app advertising tracking
- Data stored on your device
Some data is stored locally on your device, such as: • Session tokens and signed-in state • Preferences (language, theme, filters, narrator settings) • Favorites and discovery history • Cached images or audio files used for playback
Clearing app data or uninstalling the app may remove local data. Server-side account data may remain until you request deletion.
- Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including: • Account data — while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance • Discovery sessions, presence, and location associated with sessions or device activity — while useful to provide history and service features, then deleted or anonymized according to our retention practices • Support correspondence — as needed to resolve your request
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
- Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) between the app and our servers and secured storage of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate data • Delete your data or account • Restrict or object to certain processing • Request data portability • Withdraw consent (for example, location permission in device settings)
To exercise rights or request account deletion, email privacy@wisetab.online from the email address associated with your account and include “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
Device-level controls: • Turn off location access for Wise Tab in iOS or Android Settings • Revoke photo library access in Settings • Sign out of your account in the app • Uninstall the app to remove local data
- Children’s privacy
Wise Tab is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
- International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including where our hosting and API providers operate. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect personal data in accordance with applicable law.
- Third-party links and services
The Service may open maps, websites, or share destinations operated by third parties (for example Google Maps or social apps). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.
- Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Wise Tab after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes may be highlighted in the app or on https://wisetab.online.
- App Store and Google Play privacy labels (summary)
For store questionnaires, Wise Tab typically collects categories such as: • Contact info — name and email (linked to identity; not used for tracking) • Location — coarse and/or precise location for discovery and maps (linked to identity or device; not used for tracking) • Identifiers — device ID and account identifiers (for app functionality; not for advertising tracking) • Usage data — discovery and feature usage needed to operate the Service
Tracking: We do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple for advertising purposes.
